The skatepark
Hairy Bob’s skatepark was designed and built by Maverick Industries, opening in 2009. Named after the nearby cave, it is an all-concrete park that features both transition and street elements. The skatepark is divided into two sections: a bowl area and a street area.
The bowl area is quite large, split into two main sections with two long narrow channels—one with an over-vert at the end and the other with an extension.
A volcano spine separates the two sections, with a pump bump at the end nearby. The end of the channels is supported by two speed bowls, and there’s a hip on one side. Additionally, there is a ledge on the top platform of the bowls, leading to a long quarter pipe that partially spans and opens into the street section.
Hairy Bob’s skatepark caters to individuals of all abilities and styles, featuring smooth and well-designed surfaces that efficiently utilize the space.
